Black Vault answers

Everything important, before you trade.

Program rules, funded milestones, checkout, platforms, resets, and Vault Payout eligibility—explained in plain language.

Are Black Vault accounts live brokerage accounts?

Current Black Vault evaluation and Simulated Funded Accounts are simulated. Any future live trading program will be a separate program governed by separate eligibility, onboarding, agreements, disclosures, and the account documents and requirements of the outside broker and other providers established for that program.

Which countries can participate?

Use the searchable Country Availability directory for the current Black Vault status of every listed country and territory. Country status is not an automatic approval, and identity, sanctions, payment, market-data, provider, region-level, or restricted-party controls can override a country result.

Is scalping allowed?

Discretionary scalping is allowed only when the verified trader personally makes and manages each trading decision in real time. Algorithmic or bot trading, expert advisers, automated strategies, unattended scripts, API-driven order placement, third-party signal automation, and micro-scalping are prohibited. Micro-scalping means a repeated, high-velocity pattern of ultra-short entries and exits that does not reasonably reflect independent human decision-making. A single short trade is not automatically a violation. A supported self-copy tool may only mirror a manually initiated order across the trader's own eligible Black Vault accounts.

Is there a minimum time that I must stay in a trade?

There is no fixed minimum holding time for a genuinely manual trade. Black Vault reviews the overall execution pattern, not one isolated fast exit. Repeated ultra-short, high-velocity activity consistent with micro-scalping, automation, or bot execution is prohibited.

Is there a minimum profit percentage for each trade?

No. There is no minimum profit amount or percentage for an individual trade. Evaluation consistency is measured by profitable trading day—not by individual trade—and the best profitable day may not exceed 50% of total net evaluation profit at pass review. Simulated funded and Vault Direct accounts have no consistency rule, but their separate published payout requirements still apply.

Is there a limit on the number of trades I can place?

There is no fixed daily trade-count limit for ordinary manual trading. Every order must remain within the account's product, contract, drawdown, and risk limits. A high-velocity pattern that indicates automation, bot execution, or prohibited micro-scalping is not permitted even when the account remains inside its numerical risk limits.

Will I be required to move to live trading?

A Simulated Funded Account is capped at five approved simulated payouts. After the fifth payout, the simulated account is retired and continued participation requires Black Vault's separate live-account review and transition process. Live-account approval is not guaranteed, and you are not required to accept a live account, but simulated-funded payouts cannot continue beyond the five-payout cap.

Do commissions or fees reduce my trading profit?

Yes. Account results and rule progress use net provider-reported profit and loss after applicable trading commissions. For newly provisioned accounts, the current commission schedule is $1.89 per contract per side ($3.78 round turn) for minis and $0.61 per contract per side ($1.22 round turn) for micros. The commission schedule assigned to the specific provider account controls, and any prospective change will be disclosed.

What is the difference between Vault EOD and Vault Intraday?

Vault EOD recalculates its trailing floor after the session closes and requires 2 qualifying days. Vault Intraday follows high-water equity during the session and requires 2 qualifying days. Both evaluations use the 50% CONSISTENCY RULE.

What is the optional Daily Loss Limit?

The Daily Loss Limit is a soft session guardrail. Reaching it pauses trading until the next session. It does not replace maximum drawdown and is not by itself an account breach.

What happens after I pass an evaluation?

After Black Vault verifies the target, required days, rule compliance, and provider record, the account moves to the same-size simulated funded stage. There is no activation fee and evaluation consistency does not carry forward.

How does the simulated funded drawdown work?

The funded trail follows intraday high-water equity, including realized and unrealized results. The funded buffer is maximum loss plus $100. At the size-specific lock milestone, the trail stops and the permanent floor remains $100 above starting balance.

What is the 30% funded risk rule?

During an evaluation it is shown only as a preview and is not enforced. On a simulated funded or Vault Direct account, one trade—including related scale-ins—may place no more than 30% of the current funded buffer at risk. A violation denies the affected payout request; it is not an automatic liquidation or hard breach.

How does Vault Direct work?

Vault Direct skips the evaluation and begins at the same-size simulated funded stage. Its payout cycles have no consistency rule and require 5 days with at least $150 net profit each, the funded buffer and drawdown milestones, and the published initial or later payout objective.

When can I request a Vault Payout?

Daily Payouts coming soon. Until this feature is activated, the current payout-cycle requirements continue to apply. The dashboard must show every applicable requirement as qualified, including the funded buffer, profit above buffer, minimum balance, 5 days with at least $150 net profit each, the payout objective, and at least the $500 minimum request. After Black Vault receives a complete and eligible first Vault Payout request, allow up to 21 business days for review and payment release. This window may include identity and KYC verification, required tax or agreement review, trade-log and rule-compliance review, fraud or security review, and bank-account linking. Business days exclude weekends and U.S. federal bank holidays. After release, the receiving bank or payment network controls deposit and transfer posting speed, which may add delivery time. Subsequent complete and eligible requests are generally processed faster after initial verification and bank linking are on file, but a shorter processing time is not guaranteed. Any request may require additional review when information changes or cannot be verified. A Vault Payout is a company-funded contractual program payment—not a withdrawal of simulated funds.

Can I reset an account?

Eligible breached or liquidated evaluations can enter the reset checkout at the current size-specific reset price. Eligible simulated funded lineages may use up to 3 resets. A reset creates a new attempt while preserving the prior account, trade history, accepted rules, identity, and lineage.

Is checkout available?

Yes. The secure checkout shows program selection, identity, market-data classification, terms, the original and current price, reset terms, and the exact total before payment.

Which trading platform is available?

WealthCharts is the current Black Vault platform path. Rithmic and all connected third-party platform choices remain labeled Coming Soon until Black Vault receives and activates production access for them.

How do Private Beta Access Credits work?

A Private Beta Access Credit is a high-entropy, single-use code assigned to one approved tester email and eligible program. When activated for an invited test, it makes the order total $0.00 and records NO_CHARGE_BETA; it is not recorded as a paid transaction.

Do affiliate or promotional codes change the published rules?

No. Attribution and eligible price adjustments never change the selected account size, objectives, drawdown, contract limits, or accepted rules. The exact total and any eligible credit are shown before confirmation.
